MISTAKE #1

Spend long hours in the same position without moving

SOLUTIONS

Get up and move regularly. Change positions. Use a sit-stand desk. Go for a walk. Connect with others and/or nature outside of a computer screen.



MISTAKE #2

Don’t do any stretches or exercises to counteract your posture


SOLUTIONS

Stretch your pecs. Stretch your hip flexors. Move your neck through full ranges of motion. Do chin tucks. Strengthen your upper back. 



MISTAKE #3

Get stressed at the desk and have no outlet for relaxation


SOLUTIONS

Adjust your workload. Have physical, emotional and social outlets for stress. Work on your relationship to stress. Get some acupuncture.
